Day 1: Arrival In Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi. Meeting in airport. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Tbilisi city tour

Breakfast at the hotel.

Tbilisi sightseeing tour – the Old Town and the New City. The city offers a wide variety of sights, most of them very ancient. We begin our visit just a few minutes walk from the hotel in the compact area of Old Tbilisi. Starting at the church of Metekhi, we walk to the brick domes of sulfur baths and then on to spectacularly located Narikala’s fortress – one of the oldest fortresses in Georgia, overlooking Mtkvari river gorge.

After that, we visit the synagogue, and the Sioni and Anchiskhati churches, which mark the end of the Old Town. After that walking along Rustaveli Avenue – the main street of Tbilisi. Visit the holy trinity cathedral, the third biggest church in the world.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Stephantsminda - Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, we visit the ancient capital and the religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical sites: Jvari monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11th century), where it is said, Christ’s shroud is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then we visit the ancient ruins of the city and drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road. On the way, we visit Ananuri – a 17th-century architectural complex. And we will tell you about secrets and legends fortress Ananuri.

On our way to Gudauri, we will see a picturesque Friendship arch, which is one of the most amazing and wonderful views of this area. An exciting drive from Gudauri along the Terek River will take us to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. From Kazbegidrive visit Gergeti Trinity church located at 2170m. in good weather, you can see for a moment one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – the mountain Kazbegi (5047m). We go back to Tbilisi.

Day 4: Tbilisi – Gori – Borjomi - Akhaltsikhe

After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to Akhaltsikhe. It was founded at least 800 years ago and was a regional administrative center for the Ottomans from the 16th century up to the Russian-Turkish War. On the way to Akhaltsikhe, we have a stop at Uplistsikhe Cave Town-Fortress, which history begins in the 1-2 millennium B.C. then you can have a stop to take photos next to the Stalin’s museum in Gori. Afterward, a tour to the 13th century Rabat Fortress is a mix of different religions and architecture.

Overnight in Akhaltsikhe

Day 5: Akhaltsikhe – Khertvisi – Vardzia - Kutaisi

After breakfast at the hotel, a tour to the 2nd century B.C. Khertvisi Fortress was once destroyed by Alexander the Great. According to legend, a master stonemason and an apprentice entered a competition held by Queen Tamar to see who could build the best tower.

The apprentice won and the dejected master stonemason jumped from one of the towers and died impaled on the knife in his belt. And a cave monastery Vardzia, the caves of which stretch along the cliff for some five hundred meters and in up to nineteen tiers and which area is believed to be first inhabited during the Bronze Age. Lunch will be provided at one of Vardzia’s local restaurants. After lunch, you go to Kutaisi.

Day 6: Kutaisi – Sataplia - Mestia

After breakfast Sightseeing tour of Kutaisi, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti. Visit Bagrat Cathedral - this majestic cathedral is towering over Kutaisi and is visible from any point of the city. This greatest culture and architectural monument of Georgia was constructed in the 10th – 11th centuries. Gelati Monastery - is a masterpiece of the Golden Age of medieval Georgia, a period of political strength and economic growth between the 11th and 13th centuries. Visit the amazing caves in Sataplia.

The Sataplia Nature Reserve is a place where you can see very interesting natural sights, walk in nature and enjoy magnificent views. Also, the guests can find footprints of ancient animals – Dinosaurs. This is the place where the footprints of Herbivorous and Raptor dinosaurs of different epochs are found. Sataplia dinosaurs are called “Satapliazaurus” and are different from European dinosaurs.

Evening – arrival in Mestia.

Day 7: Mestia

After breakfast, Exploring Mestia has always been regarded as a chief community of Upper Svaneti province. It was formerly known as Seti. Despite its small size, the townlet was an important centre of Georgian culture for centuries and contains a number of medieval monuments – churches and forts – included in a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We will visit the historic-ethnographic museum in Mestia, we will enjoy the picturesque panoramic views of Tetnulti. Walk around to see old dwelling houses and towers which show an old traditional Svanetian way of living.

Day 8: Mestia - Batumi

After breakfast, we travel from Mestia to the seaside city of Batumi. On the way, we will see Dadiani Palaces Historical and Architectural Museum in Zugdidi which was established in 1921 and contains 41000 items. The museum complex includes palaces of the Samegrelo queen Ekaterine Chavchavadze-Dadiani and Prince Niko Dadiani, a court church, and the botanic garden.

In 1850 Prince David Dadiani organized a museum in the palace and displayed unique numismatic materials from the present-day village Nokalakevi, the antique period town, and Dadiani family collections of medieval European armor and weapons, ethnographic objects, and fine art. Continue the way to Batumi - the pearl of Georgia.

Day 9: Batumi

After breakfast in the morning Exploring Batumi Botanical Garden is unique as it contains flora from nine phytogeographic areas: East Asia, North America, New Zealand, South America, the Himalayas, Mexico, Australia, the Mediterranean, and the Caucasian humid subtropics.

Garden was established in 1912 by the prominent botanist and geographer Andrey Krasnov. The garden collection includes 2037 taxonomic units of plants, including 104 of Caucasian origin. Batumi city tour - Ali and Nino statue; Area of the Piazza; Area of Europe; Having some rest on the black sea beach.
