Day 1: Arrival
Airport transfer
Day 2: Tbilisi
We will take a walk in the historic part of Tbilisi. Walking through the city's narrow streets, we will see a variety of religious structures, including churches, synagogues, mosques, century-old wooden homes with colorful balconies, Sulphur baths, and the Narikala fortress. We will take a funicular and ascend to Mtatsminda Park. We will visit the ethnographic museum too.
The rest of the day will be yours to experience the city further through traditional wine tasting and unique cuisine. Visit the Peace Bridge, which stands out due to its distinctive architectural design that contrasts with the area's historic backdrop. Further, you'll get to experience some exceptional cityscapes from the hot air balloon. To share the amazing experience, take pictures.
We will spend a night in Tbilisi.
Day 3: Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Mukhrani-Tbilisi
We will travel to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. It is located in Mtkvari Valley along the river, which is often compared to the Jordan River. We will visit the most significant Orthodox Church, Svetitskhoveli as well as the Jvari Church/ Holy Cross Monastery, which stands on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the picturesque valley.
We will visit the historical royal chateau and taste the wines produced by them.
Day 4 : Tbilisi - Sighnaghi – Kvareli
From Tbilisi we will travel to Kakheti. This fascinating part of Georgia is considered the “cradle of wine”. However, apart from the wine industry, Kakheti is also distinguished by its monuments of different periods and diverse nature. Here we will visit the ancient town of Sighnaghi, which is particularly impressive with its beautiful streets and unique geographical location.
The breathtaking beauty of the Caucasus Mountains and the endless Alazani Valley will be ours to take in as we stroll through the cobblestone streets and past historic homes and balconies. We'll visit St. Nino's miraculous spring, which was made possible by the prayer of the saint.
Later, we will visit a traditional Georgian family where we will enjoy delicious local cuisine and, of course, Kakhetian Qvevri wine and Chacha made in their own cellar using an age-old traditional technology.
After a delicious dinner, we will travel to one of the villages in this historic region to witness how father and son and the whole family make a unique Georgian vessel known as Qvevri (master class). There are only a few families left in Kakheti who have preserved this unique method.
We will spend the night in Kvareli.
Day 5: Kvareli
In the morning we will continue our journey through this beautiful area and visit the Kindzmarauli wine cellar. This winery is unique due to the distinctive regional climate and Kakhetian winemaking technology. We will have the opportunity to discover more about the history of the winery and the steps involved in making wine, specifically the bottling process. We will taste various wines and, of course, Chacha.
Later, we will once again enjoy Kakhetian wine made using local technology and delicious Georgian cuisine. We will visit a traditional Georgian family, known for their hospitality.
Following a delicious dinner, we will visit an unparalleled wine cellar with centuries of history. We are in for a show that will transport us back five centuries in time. Here, we will see ancient winemaking tools used by Kakhetian winemakers, 500-year-old Qvevris and many other fascinating items. You will explore the technology used in the production of Kakhetian wines and taste Kakhetian wines made using ancient methods.
The winery’s own restaurant and bakery of Kakhetian bread –Shoti, adds to its appeal. During a master class, we will witness the baking of Dedas Puri/Kakhetian bread firsthand and have the opportunity to taste it together with authentic Georgian cuisine.
We will spend the night in Kvareli.
Day 6 : Kvareli - Telavi - Tbilisi
In the morning we will continue our tour around this beautiful region of Georgia, where we will visit a unique wine cellar carved into the Caucasus rock massif. The temperature of the tunnel fluctuates between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius throughout the year, and the total length of the wine tunnel is 7.7 kilometers. For decades, the best wines of the Kakheti region have been preserved here. We have the opportunity to taste and, if desired, purchase locally produced wines.
Later we will go to the restaurant where you will taste delicious Georgian cuisine and the local Qvevri wine.
Following a delicious dinner, we will get to know the history of this beautiful place. We will visit the residence of the kings of Kakheti, the ruins of ancient town of Gremi, and the fortress wall, located in the beautiful nature on a mountain hill. This complex has the status of a museum-reserve with more than 2000 archaeological artefacts.
In the evening, we will return to Tbilisi with unforgettable experiences and incredible emotions that will live on in your memories forever.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer from hotel to airport
