Day 1: Arrival

Day 2: Tbilisi-Dmanisi-Tbilisi

In the morning, we will travel to Kvemo Kartli (Lower Kartli), an ancient Georgian region with a rich historical past. We will visit Bolnisi Sioni Cathedral, which dates back to the 5th century. On the walls of the cathedral, you can see the Georgian inscriptions which have been preserved for many centuries. The municipality museum will be our next stop.

There is still more to see on the way, including the town of Dmanisi, which not only has a unique location and unparalleled nature but also a fascinating history that has surprised the world. Excavations in Dmanisi have revealed 1.8 million-year-old remains of the oldest European man, the homo georgicus. It is a unique place with amazing discoveries that change human history and our theories about how humans evolved. Later we will visit the Dmanisi Nature Reserve Museum.

In the evening, we will head back to Tbilisi.

Day 3: Tbilisi - Sighnaghi - Vardisubani - Telavi

This time, we will visit beautiful Kakheti, which is distinguished not only by its delicious wine, food and diverse nature but also by its historical monuments. First, we will explore the historic town of Sighnaghi. The town is surrounded by a defensive wall, which is about 4 kilometers long. It is the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China.

The wall integrates 28 towers. The breathtaking beauty of the Caucasus Mountains and the endless Alazani Valley will be ours to take in as we stroll through the cobblestone streets and past historic homes and balconies. We'll visit St. Nino's miraculous spring, which was made possible by the prayer of the saint;

Later we will visit a village in this ancient region where we will witness how a father and son produce a unique Georgian vessel - Qvevri (a large earthenware vessel used for fermentation, storage and aging of wine). The 8000-year-old method of making Qvevri wine, which is unique to Georgia, has been recognized by (UNESCO) as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

We will stop by King Erekle’s magnificent palace on the way as well. The palace, also known as Batonis Tsikhe served as the royal residence of Kakheti.

We will stay at one of the ancestral chateau hotels, where we will try local food and Qvevri wines in the evening.

Day 4: Telavi - Tbilisi

We will continue our journey to the capital of Georgia, where we will tour the old part of the city. Walking through the narrow streets of the city, we will see a variety of religious structures, including churches, synagogues, mosques, century-old wooden homes with colorful balconies, sulphur baths, and the Narikala fortress. We will take a funicular and ascend to Mtatsminda Park. Later, we will visit the ethnographic museum.

The rest of the day will be yours to experience the city further through traditional wine tasting and unique cuisine. Visit the Peace Bridge, which stands out due to its distinctive architectural design that contrasts with the area's historic backdrop. Further, you'll get to experience some exceptional cityscapes from the hot air balloon. To share the amazing experience, take pictures.

We will spend a night in Tbilisi.

Day 5: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Gori - Uplistsikhe – Borjomi

In the morning, we will travel to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. It is located in Mtkvari Valley along the river, which is often compared to the Jordan River. We will visit the most significant Orthodox Church, Svetitskhoveli (UNESCO) , as well as the Jvari Church/ Holy Cross Monastery (UNESCO) , which stands on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the picturesque valley.

We will continue towards Shida Kartli (Lower Kartli) to the town of Gori. We will visit the house-museum of Soviet leader Stalin, where the world-famous leader was born and spent his childhood years.

In the afternoon we will visit Uplistsikhe cave town-fortress which dates back to the third century AD. The Silk Road passed through this cave town-fortress, which is one of Shida Kartli's most impressive sights. Uplistsikhe is an open museum with ancient walls and four gates.

We will spend a night in Borjomi, the most significant resort town in ancient Meskheti-Javakheti. It is in the center of the diocese, with ancient churches and monasteries.

Day 6: Borjomi - Vardzia - Borjomi

This time, we will travel to the ancient cave monastery town of Vardzia. On the way, we will stop at Birtvisi - the medieval fortress, which was a defensive structure due to its location. Then we will visit Vardzia, the Georgia's biggest cave town. This unique cave complex consists of thirteen floors and six thousand rooms, including the Temple of the Assumption, refectories, tunnels, cellars, and much more.

We will spend a night in Borjomi.

Day 7: Borjomi - Kutaisi

Now it's time to travel to western Georgia. First, we will visit the ancient city of Kutaisi, which is mentioned as the capital of the Colchis Kingdom in ancient Greek mythology. We will see the Gelati Monastery (UNESCO) , which is one of the most exquisite buildings from the Middle Ages.

You will discover its fascinating history. We will also visit the Bagrat Cathefdral, which is remarkable for its architecture and aesthetic quality. Since 1994, the monument has been listed by (UNESCO) as a treasure of the World Cultural Heritage.

We will spend the night in Kutaisi.

Day 8: Kutaisi - Mestia

We will continue our journey towards Svaneti. The individualism in this lovely region is noteworthy. The visitor is left with a lasting impression by Caucasian peaks, towers, architectural landmarks, distinctive fresco patterns, customs, and diverse, spectacular nature. The settlement is beautiful against a backdrop of ancestral towers (UNESCO) and grand peaks.

Day 9: Mestia - Batumi

The morning is even more beautiful with the castle towers illuminated by the rising sun and the views of the Caucasus. You can also go horseback riding if you wish.

After midday, we will visit Mestia, where we will stop at Mestia Ethnographic Museum to learn more about local history and ethnography. Further, we will visit the Herghiani Museum, which tells about the traditions of ancient Svanetian highlanders. The museum has many historical exhibits.

In the evening, we will travel to Batumi.

Day 10: Batumi

In the morning we will visit Gonio Fortress. Due to its strategic location, the fortress rose to prominence as one of the major citadels of the Roman Empire and later the Byzantine and Ottoman empires in the eastern Black Sea area. It is now recognized as archaeological and architectural museum-reserve. We will visit the Batumi Ethnographic Museum, where you can see a lot of fascinating exhibits.

Later we will have time to stroll around the beautiful streets of Batumi and see the various landmarks of the city: the statue of Medea, the Alphabet Tower, the moving statues of Ali and Nino and others.

Day 11: Departure
